Survey

W: 20 HS 19 College
AA: 10 HS 5 College
H: 16 HS 9 College
A: 3 HS 2 College

most of the time, when doing this survey most of the kids I asked they’re parents graduated from high school and went to college. The parents that didn’t go to college were for economic reasons or situations that didn’t let them go to college. I believe that it’s hard to do something when you have hard circumstances on the way of your goals, but for the most part most parents did end up going to college, witch in my eyes it seems like their kids will too.

i am poem

I am proudly one of the Little Rock Nine
I wonder how it would feel to be a white student
I hear them talking about my skin color
I see the other eight trembling in fear along with me
I want to be accepted
I am proudly one of the Little Rock Nine

I pretend that what they say doesn't effect me
I feel the segregation between our races
I need support from my fellow race
I worry that school will never be safe
I cry only when i am in the protection of my own home
I am proudly one of the Little Rock Nine

I understand the past
I believe it should change
I dream we will one day be harmonious
I try to ignore the hatred
I hope they will soon accept me
I am proudly one of the Little Rock Nine

Malcom X vs MLK

Both martin luther king and Malcolm x used extremely effective technics to move people or pursued the the people to change there opinions on things such as the civil rights movement. they both use different strategies to show how passionate they are about what they were talking to millions of people about. if they had no clue what they were talking about or people not listening to them, they would not have had such a huge impact on the United States. the winner of who is better can not be determined because they both did the same thing, made people change they way they thought of things and were both extremely well public speakers.

class divided or class brought together

I think that all the kids in the video or better yet everybody in the world can either make themselves either smart, or make themselves believe that they are not as smart as other people or dumb. for example if you walk into class one day and be like oh i'm so gonna bomb that test, most likely chance are that you will because you have your mind set on that. just like the kids in the video with the collar they thought that they were looked down upon, making them feel bad because of what they have on. but when they took them off the all of a sudden became smarter? i don't think so, its all in there heads. so if you keep your head up and strong nobody can stop you.

Television

The invention of the television is a very important to history. I believe that media does influence the action of how most teenagers act today in our society. Its something that every child recognizes and a modern society cannot live without. Now , Television has altered how most children and teenagers live. It also changed the source of entertainment, the newspaper is no longer needed because we can inform everybody with shows, news, or programs in the T.V. Overall, it has impacted this generation of teenagers a lot because they are conformed to act in a way which we all think is right. Looking at today, daily exercise is something that rarely happens. Due to the fact that teenagers rather watch a show or go to the movie theater for entertainment. It has become an on going issue that we face. America's teenagers is increasingly becoming more exposed to to explicit material. It eventually created a more violent youth, like today when teens watch showes like jersey shore, they think its ok to fight because people do it all the time in that show show so why isnt it ok.
